Winter Lacrosse League Rules

NFHS Rules

NCAA & NFHS Sticks are allowed

All Games are two, 25-minute running halves / with 5 minute halftime. 

Penalty time will be time and a half, running time (i.e. a 30-second penalty will last 45 running time seconds, a 1-minute penalty = 90 seconds, and so on.)

Each team gets one 30 second time-out

 NO ties are allowed in any games. If Tied goes to 3-Man Braveheart (1 goalie, 2 field players).  

Each player MUST have the required equipment including a mouthpiece, helmet, gloves, arm pads, and shoulder pads.  Each team MUST have a legally equipped goalie to start each game.

Any player ejected from a game will not be able to participate in the next game.


Playoff Tie-Breaking Procedures

1st - Head to Head Record

2nd - Point Differential

3rd - Goals Against

4th - Coin Flip

To get the most competitive match-ups for the playoffs, the league directors will look at the strength of the schedule as well as the record in determining the A group and B group selections for the playoffs.

Playoff Rules

All playoff games will be the same as the League Rules above, with one exception.  Playoff games will consist of two 17-minute running time periods.

Each team will still get one 30 second time-out
